Ellie & Tom were married earlier this summer in Cyprus.  With just a few select family members and friends to share their special day and soak up two weeks of sun, the plan was always to hold a special reception back at home for everybody to attend and celebrate the marriage of these two beautiful people.  The venue was the Grange Park Golf club in Rotherham.  This is a real hidden gem tucked away in the heart of the golf course.  My day started by meeting Ellie, Tom and the gang at their house in Rotherham.  The final touches of hair and make up were carefully being finished as I arrived.  I try not to interfere with the preparations too much, I like to just hang out in the background and snap away.  This is also a great time to get all the little details like the shoes rings and dresses etc…

Before we knew it it was time to make our way over to the venue which was a short five minute drive away.  I’d already been for a mooch around earlier in the week and found some lovely spots to get some nice group and portrait shots. As I drove down the long narrow country lane that leads to the venue, I was amazed by the early evening autumnal sunshine that was reflecting and dancing around the golden brown leaves.  I knew this would help make some beautiful photos and also remind them of their special day abroad too.  Wondering around the 18th green we soon got to work, trying not to get in the way of the last few golfers making their way up the final hole of their round.  We managed to get some amazing shots in the soft golden light.  Autumn is such a beautiful time of year to be a wedding photographer!!
